This is a listing for a glass fused plate measuring approx. 5"x11" with brown/white opaque swirly glass and ivory glass with an image of an octopus. Octopus looks reddish-brown. Red accent strip of glass.
No image fires exactly the same, so each piece is unique!
Glass is COE90 and is fused in a sushi plate geometric style.
Handwash recommended.

The meaning behind the symbol: Octopus
Adornments like octopus medallions were worn by sailors to ward off evil. Seamen understood the eerie magic of the octopus. Its black ink-jet expulsions and other-worldly appearance struck awe (and terror) in the observer and symbolizes mysticism and magic. Hence, it makes an incredibly powerful totem, carrying great status – a symbol of protection and good luck.
